Imagine separating the collar and sleeves from the body of a shirt, or the legs from a pair of pants. These separate “pieces” are the basis for the TorusWear fantasy wear concept.
Individual TorusWear pieces such as the capes, collars, and arm/leg sleeves, can be worn alone, or in any combination that sparks a child’s imagination. TorusWear pieces are not costumes. The pieces are interpretive and not designed to focus on a specific topic, but to provide a broad theme for children’s inventive play.
Each piece is handcrafted in quality stretch fabric depicting unique patterns in bright colors and adorned with fanciful trims and is attractive enough to be worn as part of a child’s wardrobe.
Our Value
Children are innately creative and whether at home, in the classroom, or in a therapeutic or hospital setting, TorusWear can be the stimulus to encourage that creative process.
Playing alone or with others, kids have fun wearing our pieces as dress up or just because they look cool. However, most importantly, hands-on imaginative play is a significant alternative to the all-consuming screen time issue that has become a topic of parental concern.
TorusWear is perfect for use in the classroom to inspire kids to use their imagination in play-acting and story-telling exercises.
In addition to being beautiful and fun to wear, TorusWear can also have a therapeutic value. Wearing TorusWear pieces can be used as tools to encourage a child to open up and express his or her feelings.
TorusWear has also been designed with ill or hospitalized children in mind because it is easy to put on and remove. Wearing a sleeve or a cape can be as comforting as snuggling with a favorite blanket or toy to a child who may need the reassurance that a familiar, loved object brings.
